DIY Ultra Racing Rear Strut Bar Installation

Installed the rear strut bar. Install time is 15 minutes.

Disclaimer: The rear strut bar is non for anybody. If y'all need the hatch space in its full functionality then this is not for y'all.

    What yous demand:
Ultra Racing Rear Strut Bar role # UR-RE2-2025

    Tools needed:
    - 17mm showtime wrench (needs to be low angle offset)
    - Adjustable wrench
    - 1/2 Drive Socket Wrench
    - i/2 Drive 17mm socket
    - Apartment head screwdriver
    - used microfiber cloth

one. Pry open up the rear strut covers in the back with a Apartment head screw driver with its head wrapped with the microfiber fabric. Safekeep the covers as they are no longer needed in one case the bar is installed.

    2. Utilize the 17mm get-go wrench and the adjustable wrench as a counterforce to remove the strut nut on the left and right areas.

    3. Once the nuts are removed, insert the rear strut into the bolts. Identify the included washers before re-installing the nut.

    4. Tightened the nuts using the i/ii bulldoze socket wrench and 17mm socket.

    Finalized installation.

I'll flip the bar when I get to install the coilovers next month. It'll be easier to fit well-nigh stuff on the torso that way. With the current install, sometimes I have to fold down the rear seats when placing stuff that won't fit right away.

I recollect the mirage tin can't have rear coilovers due to the suspension setup.

Tein, Silvers, Emotion and GAB had coilovers developed for the Delusion.

made this months ago from a solid steel bar. I only measured from end to cease, pounded the ends flat and drilled.

checked it this afternoon to see if it'due south still direct and it is. was also a good fourth dimension to paint the ends and add together washers (didn't exercise and so before)

Dude, that'south brilliant. Has it made a difference in handling for you?

Speck was a 2022 Mitsubishi Delusion ES 5-speed with pushbutton first, automatic climate controls, original Dunlop Enasaves and no middle panel. It was totaled on 22-Feb-2022.

Your bar is interim like a sound tube. Any noise, vibration etc generated from the stupor is existence transmitted into the metal bar.

I hold a very elegant and unproblematic solution. How's it been since installed. Any difference in the "wandering" problems?
